about The team leaders
Mike grew up in Utah and moved to Maui in 2003. Mikey's experience began when he was a child working with his dad, who was a general contractor. After fine tuning his high end painting and carpentry skills through working with a few extremely experienced mentors that took him under his wing, Mikey started his own painting business in 2003 and in 2017, Smith Painting, Inc. was created. When he is not working, Mikey loves to spend time with his wife & 2 year old son at the beach, or go on hikes. He also loves dirt biking on the North Shore and doing wood working projects.

Shannon is originally from Iowa and lived in Oregon for several years while raising his son, Tony. He then moved to Maui in 2018, and currently lives on a beautiful property in Haiku with his partner, Katy, and their pets,
Rio (an 11-year-old German Shepherd dog) & Koi (a 7-year-old calico cat).
In his spare time, Shannon loves spending time at the beach, hiking, tending his property, and enjoys working with his hands. His varied interests include: higher mathematics, space, ancient civilizations, and permaculture. Shannon is as kind & genuine as they come, and he takes great
pleasure in bringing a smile to others’ faces.

Nick was born in Missouri, and grew up in central Florida. He has been on Maui for about 20 years, and currently lives up in Kula with his wife and daughter. When Nick isn't working or trying to tackle an overly ambitious
to-do list, he enjoys spending time with his family, occasionally playing guitar, reading (a lot), listening to podcasts, watching YouTube, and generally nerding out on anything from history, health & nutrition, spirituality, philosophy, construction/building, woodworking and music.
He also likes to watch football, nascar, and probably too many tv shows.
